To resolve the No VR Headset Detected error
- Reboot the computer and launch Vivid Vision again
- If the error message persists, try the steps below:
- Check the status of the OVR service:
- Go to the Start menu and search for Task Manager
- Right-click and select Run as Adminstrator
- Enter the Admin password and select OK
- Task Manager will display the following tabs: Processes / Performance / App history / Startup /User/Details / Services. Select the Services tabs
- Locate OVRService (Oculus VR Runtime Service)
- If status is "Stopped", right-click and Start the service
- If the headset is still not detected:
- Open the Oculus app by itself
- Click Devices and check to see if the headset shows a green dot for connectivity
- If not green, reseat the USB and video (HDMI or displayport) cables in the back of the computer. If still not green, gently remove the faceplate on the Rift headset and reseat the cable into the port in the headset.
- If the dot turns green, showing that the headset is connected, launch Vivid vision.
- If you still get an error message, call support at 877-877-0310
