I keep moving outside the play area while in VR. What should I do?

The grid wall you see is a safety feature called the Guardian System. It appears when you approach the edge of your designated safe area. This typically happens if your play area is too small or you're moving too close to the boundary set during initial setup.

For Oculus Rift (CV1)

Check and update your system:

1. Ensure your Oculus software is up to date.
2. Verify both sensors are positioned correctly:
   • The reflective side of each sensor should face toward the play area.
   • If sensors have been moved, run the full setup again.

Reconfigure your room setup:

1. Open the Oculus app on your PC.
2. Select Devices in the left menu.
3. Click Configure Rift, then select Sensor Setup.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.

For Oculus Rift S

Reconfigure the Guardian System:

1. Open the Oculus app on your PC.
2. Select Settings from the bottom toolbar.
3. Select Guardian in the left menu.
4. Click Set Up Guardian.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your Guardian.
